Mine must be one of the first of this model, and one of the rarest Valco amps I have ever seen. Basically, it appears to be a stereo amp. It has only two 12AX7s and four 6L6GCs and two 5U4GBs. Two seperate output transformers and One huge Power transformer. Original C12PS speakers. Everything dates to the end of 1964. Black Tolex, Black Grille. Three inputs(not sure if any of them are stereo), Tone switch for voicing as Guitar, Bass and Low Bass (regular Bass setting is awesome!!) Everyone who has heard this amp, loves it!! Definitely, a one of a kind! Hard to get a quad of blackface RCA 6L6GCs! This one has the original ones and, knock on wood, they test as NOS. Amazing TONE!!! With a Sola sound Tonebender in front of it with a Colorsound Overdriver, triangle knob Big Muff, Vox Clyde McCoy wah and Echoplex.... awesome!!!!!!! Thee best amp. Sounds as good or better than any tweed Fender, and gives my Blond Showman a run for it's money! Listen for it on our new recordings. Cheers!!
