dignan, I must compliment you on, not only the "artsy fartsy" photograph, but more importantly on the manner in which you have wound the strings on the posts. I am not sure that I have ever been able to so carefully wind my strings. If one looks closely, you can clearly see that the winds properly cover the clipped end of the string. And, my goodness, look at the uniformity of the winds on the treble side posts. Pretty impressive work, my friend. It almost looks like it just came out of the factory with those winds!

That pic was actually taken as a visual aid for another guitar forum, mostly full of beginners. One guy was complaining about constantly breaking strings, thinking it was due to the "crappy tuners" (Gotohs may not be fancy, but they're hardly crap).
I asked how he wound the strings:
"Wound? I just pull them through the hole and tighten it up."
