Sounds like the Vibroluxe is the way to go. From my experience, they break up quickly, and would probably suit the musical styles you mentioned to a "T". However, I borrowed a Peavey for a couple of days, and it was a 2x10. I really want to say it was a Delta Blues (though I know most of the Delta Blues have a 15" speaker. Maybe it was an older model?) It was a very impressive amp for the price, though I've heard many users gripe about the quality of the Peavey speakers. EL-84's, a good reverb and tremolo. I wish I'd bought it now.

Hey. I'll vote ya up. It sucks at the bottom. Good luck with your amp selection.

Go for the Delta Blues. Lots of low end (at least in the 15; the 2x10 may be middier), which can be dialed out when you don't need it. Ought to have enough high-end, but that could be the weak point. Try before your buy. Decent reverb, good tremolo.
I had one for a couple of years, but didn't understand it at the time. You can dial in really good overdrive with the gain circuit, but you almost have to re-eq the amp when you do. So it's play it clean OR play it dirty, but I could never find a way to switch between on the fly.
Still, a very balanced, fat, organic tone, and pedals always do for crunch.
Massive sound from the 15 in mine, even at modest volume. The two tens ought to retain enough bottom and add great responsive punch.
It's a looker, too.

Sorry Proty, I must respectfully disagree. I bought a Delta and took it home, I hated it! It had tons of midrange, and harsh treble, I found the bass to be muddy and I did not like the reverb. I really love Fender reverb and trem. I tried to play with the band and the Delta failed! My sons said the same things I did, the tone wasn't there. I brought home a Fender Blues Deluxe and was blown away! Deep rich clear bass and tight treble smooth not harsh and the reverb is awesome. It is not a Gretsch Executive but it will do till I can get one. I vote Fender!
