Just recieved the Reverb Deluxe Reissue that I bought off of ebay. Great tone and sweet reverb. At 22 watts it is not as loud as I usually use but I really don't need all the volume. It is a great sounding amp.

The only issue is that it some times doesn't seem as loud as previous times. What I mean is I can set the volume at 3 and wail away. Turn the volume all the way down and then back at 3 and it is not as loud as before. If I dick around with the volume control after a bit it will come back up.There also seems to a bit of popping noise when turning the vol control from 0 to around 2. Ya got any ideas??

Any of ya'll use the DRRI?

Yep, longtime user of the DRRI here. I've never experienced the popping noise you mention with changing the volume. That's a new one to me.

I really like mine, but it's sooooo loud to use at home. I just ordered a Swart Space Tone Reverb. Can't wait for it to get here.

Just bought a second hand DRRI too. I'll be taking it too the European Roundup on saturday, so you'll hear more from it then. It is in great shape and has hardly been used. I didn't notice the volume thing but the tremolo speed knob didn't work well at first. It only adjusted the speed a bit between 3 and 8 or so. After a while it started working better. Must have been a dirty knob. Maybe that is what you have too.

arm1151, I'm not sure about the volume problem but as for the popping noise try reseating your tubes. It worked with mine.

Of course make sure you're unplugged and cooled down.

A bad/dirty pot could cause the problem you describe. Try some aeresol cleaner before you even think about replacing it.

I bought some pot cleaner "not a screen" from radio shack tonight.I'll try and clean it tonight.
