Well, kinda! Scored a '62 Twin. It's recabbed and the speakers are old C12Qs and it absolutely kills! Gigged it the other night and A/B-ed it with my DR clone, awesome. A really tight low end but still with that late-tweed hair around the notes. Very much a halfway house between something like the high power tweed Twin (5F8-A) and the blackfaces. Really enjoying the tonestack.

Anyway, onto some pics;

It was filled with Orange Drops which I yanked out and replaced with (mostly) blue molded caps;

Oooh! I did though! Oops! My customer ran out of money for that one so that got called off sadly. Sorry, I thought there was some kind of problem with the text sizes or something? Perhaps I picked that up wrong.

Thread hijack; Anyway, I've a tweed Bassman build I need a Fender-style logo for if you'd be interested in doing it... I'd need at least two of them. I seem to remember someone mentioning having you do a Gretsch one for a 5222, did you get someone like Precision Design to fabricate it based on your design?

Yup, thanks, it's a great amp. That harmonic vibrato is just wonderful. Wow, i can't wait for you guys to hear it. I've a couple of mics I built a while back that I'm recording some stuff with that you'll all get to hear ASAP. Once I fix my tape echo I'll so some Brian Setzer-style stuff too.

Amps are a different story. An old Fender, or rather the LACK thereof, is fast becoming a serious problem.

Shuie, I'm terribly sorry! There's a '61 Twin on Gbase for $2200... Mine was $1200! I'm in the UK so had to have it shipped from Florida.
