I recently bought a Jerry Jones Neptune 12, which is a US-made Danelectro replica. Truly excellent guitar! The only 12 I've ever played that's as easy as a 6-string to play. Also the hollow Danelectro-ness makes it fun (to me anyway) to play even not plugged in.

Jukebox, thanks for the info on the Italia Rimini 12. I had discovered it today at Musician's Friend.
Harmony Central has rave reviews about it....for what that's worth.

I have a 90's 3-pickup Dano Hodad 12-string, and it is a fantastic guitar. Beautifully made, and has a great variety of tones from Ric-like to acoustic 12-string - thanks to the "selectomatic" dial switch.

Yes, I have a Dano 12 string in purple sparkle that I quite like. I paid $269 for it new years ago. I don't know the model number, but it's the dounle cut Jimmy Page shape with the seal pickguard. I consider it my backup 12 string in case my Rick 330 is in the shop. It's very trebly and jangly, and a very different animal than the Rick. The Neck is wider, allowing me to play certain chord shapes that are hard on the Rick.
I have a feeling I'll own this one for life. I don't play it much, but it's too nice to get rid of. The purple look amazingly cool.
