Okay, I admit that this "Modular Electric Guitar" is unusual, and perhaps something of a novelty, but someone would have to have way too much money on their hands to buy this one, wouldn't they?

did someone say bikini ?
don't you wonder just what kind of lunatic this guy must be??
How pointless. I could see an octave 12 string, but, $57K? It's for the man who has everything, other than sense.
The product of over 20,000 total man hours...
That's only $2.85 an hour

Let's say they're going for the classic 100% markup, which would make the "cost" of the guitar to the builder 28,500.00. Less materials to get to labor...so, say 27,500.00 in labor.
20,000 hours? That works out to 1.38 an hour. For one guy, that's 2,500 8-hour work days. 500 5-day weeks. Which is 10 years, providing a 2-week vacation.
Or maybe it was two or three guys.
Whatever. If I paid for that many hours of labor - even at 1.38/hr - for someone to come up with THAT?
I'd want my money back.
Who does this clown think he's kidding?
It makes me chuckle when you see these new concepts in guitar design - us guitarists are generally a pretty conservative bunch, hence the vintage reissue market, I guess.
The other thing - for all its design features, how is it really gonna resonate? My bank manager can keep his 57k, thanks!
What we have here is what I like to refer to as crap.
20,000 hours is hilarious. There's only so much you can do to a stick of wood... or does that count tree-growing time?
I'd be embarrassed to admit it took me that long, for fear that I would be perceived as not knowing what I was doing.
This is the 21st Century Bikini, fws6, no doubt about it!
