Indeed. That looks to be the short-bodied B-3 style Bigsby that would be more appropriate on a Duo Jet or Les Paul, rather than the longer-bodied B-6.
A B-6 on this guitar should put the handle in just the right place, or a 9.5 inch handle would accomplish about the same thing.
HI, thanks for the info. After visiting the bisgby page and do a search for the models recomended for a 335 it shows that the better option is the b7. Is the tension bar the only difference between these 2 models???.

Ta!
Basically, yeah. The B70 is just the "import" version of the B7. The B12 just has the cutout (which I think looks cooler than the b7 IMO).
With the long distance between the Bigsby and the bridge on a 335, it's easy to understand why Bigsby would recommend a tension bar model like the B-7.
Like bobbyrivera, I actually prefer the look of the B-12 to the B-7. Either way, if you decide to change it out, you might want to consider a tension bar version.
(By the way, I don't think I'd try the 9.5 inch handle that I mentioned earlier as the handle would really stick out and would be hard to use for some.)
