For one week only, Australian radio station Triple J, in conjunction with the band has a free MP3 of the Living End's forthcoming single How Do We Know, from the new album White Noise (should have been called White Falcon Noise ) due out mid July in Australia:

Sounds good!

I enjoyed it, alot more than most of the songs on their previous album.

I hope the rest of the album can match, or beat this.

The Living End seem to have a habit of releasing their best stuff first...

I liked it, but it definitely sounded a little White Stripes-ish to me. Either way, I'm just excited to be getting a new album from these guys.

I managed to catch one of the Longnecks gigs and the band was smoking! They were trying out new songs before heading into the album and although the crowd new none of the material, the band had the place jumping. The new songs sounded great and I think that if they can capture some of that energy, then this album is going to be a ripper!

Very different from their early work. It sounds a bit like a Sabbath song.

hmmm

It's a decent rock song thats for sure but its not what I personally want to hear them playing - straight ahead hard rock with no slap bass (in fact no acoustic bass)

I know they regard this as a progression and development of their sound and I respect them for that but if this was the first tune of theirs I had ever heard I would never have guessed they had any rockabilly influences

I dig it!! It's definitely White Stripes-y but different. All their albums are actually pretty different from one another. I'm totally down with the new sound!!

Althought I think we can expect some decent, energetic tracks from this album.

I dont think response from their last album was as good as they had hoped for.
