I saw the US "Dancing with the Stars" show on YouTube.
Mr Setzer and his band shouldn't have bothered with the leopardskin suits . :)
We, in the UK, seem to have imposed another "reality" show on your guys over there ... sorry :(

"Brian kicked off the solo with a nice classic swing lick -- same one as can be heard kicking off his Nashvillans' Live CD version of "Tennessee Zip". Nice one to learn."
Yeah he plays that lick on Jingle Bells too from the Christmas cd.
that was a good performance imo. I really liked that lick he used to open the solo. he seemed to lose something in the middle but recovered and thats what is really important I think, recovering from those bad notes, I'm sure most non-musicians didn't even notice.
Deed, regarding Duane appearing on DWTS; I can understand him balking about being on the show, at first...but I'm sure he'll be champing at the bit once he finds out his dancing partner is Cloris Leachman.
{without any objections from Duane's #1, of course}

"Beverly Hills, 90210" .... Himself (1 episode, 1998)
The show is fun to watch, but I agree, So You Think You Can Dance is a much better show. Lacey Schwimmer is new on DWTS this year and she is an alum from So You Think You Can Dance. The Musical guest almost always only plays 1 song. That's just how it goes.
You guys shouldn't knock dancing. It's fun, good exercise and a great way to meet women. I met my wife back in my days as a hard core swing dancer about 9 years ago. (East Cost Swing, not West Coast Swing... can't stand West Coast Swing.
)
It was cool to see him on the show, but I too was suprised at the song choice. No matter, it was still cool. He is looking a bit ragged these days. Time for a vacation!
I think he botched the solo too. I love Setzer and have everything of his I can get my mitts on, but sometimes his live playing drives me nuts with rehashing licks and seemingly no sense of direction. But it is still better than most.
I'd love to hear him do a country record.
Oh, I've been on here as "SOnicTitan" and "Drew01" but everytime I log in, there's always a problem...
