Helious Creed. His early work in Chrome is spectacular and I love his early solo albums on AmRep Records (especially Boxing The Clown). I saw him live twice, once solo and once in a Nik Turner lead, members-of-Hawkwind band.
I just thought I'd shake things up a bit.

Just about every world-famous guitarist is on this list.
In Toronto in the 1970s there were two guitarists that my friends and I would go to see every chance we got, Grant Fullerton and Danny Marks. Those guys rocked!
Here's a current picture of Danny:

I don't know why we haven't mentioned GE Smith. I've never heard him play a note I didn't think was essential. Consummate rock craftsman, I'd say.

GE Smith, definitely.
Didn't think of GE until I saw pic of him posted by Joe Carducci in the Gretsch 125th Anniversary gala thread. Perhaps same as someone else...ahem.

I'm pretty sure Phil "Fang" Volk was the bass player --- white Vox bass with "FANG" in black electrical tape on the back (wonder if Chris Isaak has to pay him royalties).
I think the guitarist was Drake Levin.
(sorry, all this musical trivia sticks in my brain and looks for a way out when provoked!)

I'll add Ben Vaughn for a few reasons.
I'll bet many of you have never heard of him, but probably heard his music on some TV show themes (3rd rock from the sun, That 70's Show, etc...).He's done dozens of them.
Ben was a local and played here for years with his own Ben Vaughn combo, Guitarist for(Under the name "Sal Mineo's Only Son") Pink Slip Daddy, and many other projects.
He actually recorded an album IN his Rambler, and it sounds great.
He lives out in Cali now, sleeping on piles of royalty checks...
