My refinished, lacquer checked 1963 White Falcon is called Haversham. She is well passed her bloom and is as the Americans would say on'ry and cantankerous in nature and she hates being played. A great guitar.

Nope, I don't name 'em and I don't really see them as having a gender.
But my girlfriend calls them my wives and calls the guitar store across the street, where I often hang out, my second home.
It's not really the same but since I hang out here I call my green anniversaries: Annies. Never did that before.

Ooops - You are right, but I love em both. Thanks I edited the obvious!
No prob, I hope that was helpful. BTW, you took me back to my college art history courses with "Rubenesque". Nice!
"Eleanor". Named after the Mustang in Gone in 60 Seconds.
Its fast looking, it sounds great, and its a girls name, so i thought it suited it:
Looks like you have her name up on the truss rod cover too. Nice touch.
Haha, sure do! Something needed to go there, I thought, why not engrave her name. ;)
I have quite a few guitars, but the only one I've ever given a nickname to is a Gretsch, my 1958 Duo Jet, which I call "Christine," after the 1958 Plymouth Fury in the Stephen King book, because I think it's "possessing" me. Great guitar, and it's just taking over my brain.
As far as KATRINA is concerned she dried out for a few months then we cleaned the electronics epoxied the binding and dressed the frets. After that just did a full set up and that is all. The top still has a small gap in between the maple but that is it. Plays and sound great and who says Gibson can't build an guitar.
My 61-6136 is Gretschen, and my Black double cut Duo jet is DJ, and my Strat is Mac, named after the guy who left it to me.
Same as K-Wad I just put The in front of most of them.
The 57 (1957 6120)
The Gent (1957 6122)
The Falcon
The G Brand (DSW)
The double cutaway (1965 6120) This one used to be called Chet, when it was the only Gretsch i had.
I bought Otterbeans one guitar he sold from Katrina. It's a purple Fender Precision bass that I call Prince.
My Gretsch 5120BK is called Lucky Black.
And my orange King Doublebass is called....well, KING.
Chet
