Don't you people know the Spanish word for victoria is FMIC? Am I being excluded just because I live in Mexico, where I'm guessing the amp was made?

And to comment on the Gibson v Gretsch in Hospitality pics: It is awesome to have such personable contact with Joe and Mr. Gretsch. Gibbo execs wouldn't be caught dead on a site like this. Just goes to show Joe and Mr. Gretsch care for players, not for cash. Cheers.

Proteus:

so, you're goin' back Sunday, right? be sure to take pictures of anything with P-90s, and if there isn't anything with P-90s be sure to bitch about it!
i've heard they've got 8 Slash signature models debuting this year! what the smurf is that all about? 8!?! gosh! i wonder if one of them is a Junior? hmm…

Jan 18, 2008 8:34 p.m. do not be afraid:
both? i don't know! i just heard he's got 8 signature models coming out! i think they're supposed to have one for every price range, from dirt cheap to “what the smurf!?!” are there really enough Slash fans out there to warrant 8 models?!
Gretsch has like 8,000 Chet Atkins models, but that's different…

Gibson is currently advertising in the guitar mags an Epiphone Slash signature model. Not sure about the Gibson ones though.
I am sure he must be an incredible player, but I have never really been able to warm up to the guy.

Super cool! Thanks Pro!

yeah, i've seen the advertising for the Epiphone models, and, actually, those i might go for! long neck tennon, Seymour Duncan pickups (not “Duncan Designed!”), etc. i'm not a Slash fan, but a good guitar is a good guitar! also, while Gibson and Epiphone haven't updated their website with the new models yet, Musician's Friend is taking orders for an Epiphone SG and Les Paul with real Dirty Fingers pickups — my “metal” guitar? hmm…
maybe too “nu-metal?” maybe… if it was just a straight-up “vintage” SG with the Dirty Fingers, and ever so slightly cheaper (like minus the cost of the quilt maple, gold plating, stupid inlays, binding, etc), i'd get one in a heart beat!
edit: does “SpeedTaper D Profile” = shredder neck? eek!

Well, I missed all the trivia today and yesterday, but that's okay cos I wouldn't have gotten any of those questions anyway -- except maybe the George Harrison highway accident one.
Proteus, you're doing an awesome job! Keep it up, man. Enjoy the show.
