Just got in from a long day, and a hard day's night (hehe), and after checking through all of today's posts, all I can say is wow. Great shots of the Electromatics, I want one of each please!
Congrats Setzer on the amp win!! And to all else who have won, congrats as well.
Keep it up Proteus!

Well I got to go into the Gibson booth yesterday during dealer hours (my sponsor is both a Gibson Master Dealer and a major league Gretsch dealer), and although there were lots of fun guitars to play (we couldn't plug in the electrics there, either), it didn't have the excitement of the FMIC complex. It's business-focused (which, in all fairness, is what the show's for), and it was pretty crowded in there with just dealers and their posses (like me), so I can only imagine what it's like when everyone can go in.
My favorite piece in there was an F-style mandolin with a humbucker and two speed knobs mounted on it, with the Les Paul script on the headstock that read "F-Paul." At least somebody there has a sense of humor.
With that said, Proteus' comparison photos with Fred and Joe are hilarious!

I really like reading through this thread. It's good stuff. I look forward to participating tonight (my night anyway) after I wake up but I've landed recently and need to refuel and go to bed.
Oh, but I wanted to share something that was emailed to me that I thought was PARTICULARLY amusing. I've always thought of us as Gretsch missionaries, converting people to Gretsch, convincing those that have already declared their love for the brand to go a little deeper, buy another model, maybe learn some history etc etc but recently a member said that as a member of the armed forces I'm PROTECTING Gretsch.
I got a kick out of that. So Chris, I guess we're the missionaries who are also the guards.

WAKE UP, KIDS!
Get ready for another day at NAMMneyland.
Concert last night was a blast; I recorded every second and got lots of pics. Too beat to get it posted then, but it will gradually come up today.
We're still at the hotel, but I have so much of Joe's promo stuff to give away that I've got to start early. I also have to get y'all greedy l'il pickers to talk about the gear and the new information which has come out in this thread.
Which brings me to today's first Trivia: where is the GRETSCH custom shop, city and location in its building?
You get the second and last Gretsch coffee mug for your efforts.

Hey! Why can't the Loaded 44rz be on the NAMM bill? We're all-Gretsch with no endorsement! Just kidding. We're underacheivers by nature. Proteus, thanks for the coverage. In-depth is not the word, and you're the man for the job! This is awesome.
