JC said: You can hear the difference between them. They ALL sound great. I'm usually a soundpost guy so the RHH appeals to me too. Nonetheless, that Annie sounds sweet as can be. Probably a great idea that will endure for some time to come. I'll be looking forward to seeing it propogate throughout the Gretsch lineup. Probably even spend some money . . .

Yep- You can clearly hear the differences between the three guitars. The RHH seems the most balanced of the thre with regard to tone. - Sounds really nice actually.
The Annie is chewing on me right now. I've hidden my wallet from myself and hope to keep it hidden for a while. The look of it is growing on me too. At first the gold back and sides weren't my cup of tea. - Well Gretsch gold in general wasn't my thing until I spotted a Golden Anniversary and the Keith Scott signature models. It just slowly seeps into your system.
If you find the time, a comparison of the 6120 DSV and Keith Scott model would be interesting. I keep thinking the difference is simply the color. Everything looks the same to me on the spec sheets. Maybe I am missing something.

Doesn't mention his name though

Hey JC,
It's 12.30 for me too. Was just playing along with Elvis on Napster, and the moody one just told me to shut not one door, but TWO as she can't slouch in bed in front of the computer watching bloody 'Criminal Minds' in total, unfettered comfort and convenience with an acoustic guitar (with soundhole taped over, too) being savaged nearby. "Little sister don't you do what your fat sister done..."
I think I might get into the blues, after all.

I'm really surprised at how apparent the difference is. I agree with Mark - as it becomes a standard it will probably be a must have feature on a future Fieldhdj purchase. I'd get one next, but my quota for Power'trons is filled. Wonder how the new construction is going to sound with a Dyna equipped guitar....
Man, that was some sweet tone.

Oh yeah, its definitely different enough to have one in the collection!
I forgot to say that i like the tone of the Annie alot!
Its just that RRH sounds more free'er sounding to me,if that's the word.
Very nice though

You know, I was just thinking about what Proteus said about how they handle artist models and how there's only one DL out there right now and how it's HIS guitar and I was thinking, man, what if that were me? Not that I'd warrant it but say I had a guitar and it was MY guitar, the only one like it and people, random people I don't know, are strolling by all playing it.
That would feel pretty dang weird.
Of course it would be awful of they all said how much it sucked....

I've been thinking about the DL ever since I saw its picture and how it's bound to look amazing under stage lights and all that but the Phoenix I played clicked in a very natural way with me and I've just been tossing them back and forth both similar enough that they could easily compensate for the other one (say, by switching the classics in the phoenix for powertrons) and in the end I think, THINK I've chosen the Phoenix out of the two both for the simplified control (which up until the Phoenix never appealed to me until I played it) and the amazingly beautiful silver sparkle binding.
I hate to say it but if the Cheney sig wasn't in the works and the DL we all saw not so long ago were to come out this could have swayed the other way.
