Oh yeah, bar bridge.
Proteus,
Would you please check the top bracing on those those G400's? Parallel bars or X bracing?
My G400CV has parallel bars, but have heard that the acoustic versions use X bracing.
Thanks, Lee
Close Mark, but you forgot 3 of them!!!
Pickguard, felt, metal plate, treble bleed, pickups swap, bridge swap, varitone, extra knob, sanded finish, army buttons, faucet bigsby riser.
I wear medium.

Congratulations Pappy!
Mark, I'll send you a consulation prize! ![]()

Can GDP member's have giveaways too? lol
Actually, you both forgot the sperzel locking tuners, but I'll still hook you guys up. I was really joking, but you all are my friends! I don't have enough T-Shirts left to give one to everyone or I would.
Yeah! Well, I thought I had it. I threw in everything and the kitchen sink faucet thingy. Should have remembered the tuners.
Right on!
If I can think of a question I'll offer a like new, gold plated 1" Bigsby spring.
Those Synchromatic's sound like real swing guitars from the 30's and 40's. Proteus, your playing could have been straight off of the Swing Kids soundtrack! If anyone hasn't heard that soundtrack, you should!
Proteus, can you play "Shout and Feel It"???
What's the oldest set of strings you have on any of your guitars?
OK, I thought of one. How long have I been playing guitar? Attentive members may remember. Free spring offer only good in the U.S. and Canada.
Pappy said: What's the oldest set of strings you have on any of your guitars? You were in High School when I first installed them. No kidding, on my 8-string lap steel, which has no contact with skin oils and which I seldom play.
33 years. The oldest set of strings on my guitars is maybe a month tops. I change them like I change the oil in my car "At regular intervals".
I'll give you a hint. 33 years ago I was already a teacher.
Proteus: reading the description of the ML bracing on the annie, is this Gretsch's newer way to substitute trestle bracing? It sounds like they're both going for similar goals to make the top and back vibrate the same. Is this lighter than trestle bracing? Inquiring minds and a potential winner surely would like to know.
Mark, you started playing in 1965.
Okay, then, 35 years.
I'm going to say 45 years.
No, he played ukulele then.
I can see why. It's a good instrument to start on.
Close, but no cigar.
It is how I started out.
43 years.
44
46 years? You said you were an avid player at 16, and you're now in your 50's so you started at 10 maybe?
