TRIVIA WINNERS
Round One: Who produced Jimmie Webster's album? Chet Atkins. Our T-shirt winners are Mark S, wenzel, and Antik.

Round Three: What year for Synchros? 1939, and a beer mug to Boyko (who is too young to use it, so he'll have to put something else in it).

I'd like to thank my parents, Chet Atkins, the GDP and of course Joe with his links to the history of Gretsch, which I am re-reading avidly for pleasure, as well as to get an extra leg up on the trivia. Learning is good!
Oh, I'll find something to put in that mug. Guitar picks maybe?
And ditto to Pappy, oh boy.

Pappy, remember us talking about the Bosstones and the Mad Caddies a few months back? Well, a friend of mine is really into Ska, and just lent me 6 Caddies albums - Duck and Cover, Just One More, Live From Toronto (especially good), Quality Soft Core, Rock The Plank and The Holiday Has Been Cancelled. Great stuff! He's a bike nut and was recently in hospital to have his spleen removed after his handlebars crushed into his chest/stomach. Ouch!

Sounds painful. The Mad Caddies is where it's at in ska town. I like the different way the horns are played. Less stoccato like other ska bands and more Bourbon St. New Orleans. Good stuff.

Rosie Flores Combo Live from NAMM
The FrontLine stage is a small conference room set up with about 70 seats and a killer stage. Great sound, pro lighting, and almost non-stop entertainment. Too much to keep up with.
I caught the Rosie Flores Combo, with Rosie on a Penguin and Cindy Cashdollar on Fender steels.
See what you think.
So slinky, so smoky, so bittersweet.

You're welcome to any of them if you don't have them all (I'll send them in an e-mail or something). I don't know why I even entered your comp Mark, I don't have a Bigsby! 47?

You are such a tease.
Just so you know, none of the sites linked to on this thread (or most of the threads here) are visible to me. It's a wonder (some of)your pictures are.

I meant that to Proteus, not you, CGS. I have all the albums you mentioned, that's how I know they rock.
I joined for the thrill as I have no guitars with gold hardware and the one guitar I plan on putting gold hardware on will be sans bigsby.

Mark, I wasn't even close? I thought you were at least 95 years old. So, if you started at age 10 you'd have been 85 right? A=B+C?
