Hi there. Just picked up an old BST 5000(?) "the beast" solidbody, and i´m trying to learn more about it.
After pulling a fret job and some TLC in general it plays really really well, altho i for one find it designed after a bookshelf-but hey..that´s just me. Regardless, the player factor is 100% i have to say-at least to me.Great guitar.
Anyways. As i took it upon myself to take the axe apart i took the following pics.

Neck pickup.A DM PAF.

Bridge pickup,a DM super distortion.

What strikes me is the sustain of it. It´s like you can strike a chord in the morning, leave for lunch, and pick it up to keep playing as the sun sets.
